Our client a leading fashion retailer is looking to recruit a Lingerie Fashion Buyer for their head office based in Dublin.

We are looking for experienced Retail Buyers who have experience buying in a multiple buying office environment in the areas of Fashion buyer, Lingerie buyer, Women’s buyer or Ladies buyer.

Job Purpose: As a Lingerie Fashion Buyer Dublin you will be responsible for driving sales and margin your category, in this case the Lingerie categories. You will define the range; negotiate the terms and source new product while all the while looking at the big picture in terms of your brand position and strategic plan.
The Job of a Lingerie Fashion Buyer Dublin
Profitability of the lingerie Buying department
Monitor and maximise profitability and cash flows of product lines and minimise investment in stock levels
Negotiate LTAs with suppliers and control receipt of payments on a timely basis
Forward Planning & Product Development
Monitor trends in consumer buying, patterns and preferences in order to identify new products
Probe competition to assess strengths, weaknesses, methods of merchandising and identify gaps in ranges. Develop an action plan to ensure we remain ahead of competitors
Sourcing & Supply of the lingerie Buying department
Identify and select new suppliers that meet standards of quality and cost
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure consistent supply of quality products at the lowest possible cost
Store Support of the lingerie Buying department
Provide information and guidance to store managers in relation to products, optimum layout etc.
Staff Development of the lingerie Buying department
Coach and develop staff through on the job training
Quality Control of the lingerie Buying department
Implement and maintain quality standards by agreeing Specifications
