Mechanical Design Engineer
We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Skid design and construction business. The suitable candidate must possess a relevant Mechanical Engineering Degree. The ability to work under one’s own initiative and to actively contribute to a multi-disciplined project team will be essential. Outline responsibilities and skill requirements are as follows:

· Generating construction drawings and isometric piping drawings using 3D Software (Autodesk Inventor).
· Undertaking material take-offs and generating Purchase Requisition Forms (PRFs) for the tube and fittings and structural steelwork. Co-ordinating with the Procurement Department in confirming technical compliance for equipment.
· Performing Model reviews. Generating a list of action items and complete these items as far as practical prior to the next review.
· Inspecting the mechanical build (platform structures and piping) as it progresses.
· Ensuring that the construction team are furnished with current drawings and answer any particular queries during the construction phase.

Education & Training:
Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) Degree.

Experience
1-4 years experience in a related design engineering department

Skills
· Autodesk Inventor would be a distinct advantage
· Autocad 3D / Pro-Engineer

Personal Profile
· The Mechanical Engineer should show good communication skills as supplier and client contact is required.
· A logical thinker who can interpret drawings.
· Must have a keen interest in design and problem solving through design.
