Supply Chain Planning Group Leader
Our client a leading multinational Medical Device facility in Tipperary have an immediate requirement for a Degree qualified experienced Planning Manager.
This role will provide supervision and leadership to supplier development and planning personnel along with evaluating performance of up to 8 direct reports and supports career development objectives.
Responsibilities: - Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes and co-ordinating the selection process with HR.
- Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning tasks and conducting formal performance reviews.
- Monitors daily work operations and provides direction and guidance to supervisors and employees to achieve unit or project goals, with focus on cost reductions.
- Manages local planning cycle, including S&OP / IBM, demand reviews.
- Interacts with internal and external customers by meeting regularly & ensuring quarterly business reviews are completed.
- Interprets and executes policies that affect work processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
- Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Contributes to the development and monitoring of area budget through regular analysis of cost and spending.
- Maintains personnel records and where appropriate develops work schedules for department personnel.
Requirements: - Degree qualification essential in Supply Chain, Business, Production Management or related.
- 8 plus years experience in Supply Chain Management with a definite focus on Product Planning, inventory management & inventory controls within high-volume manufacturing.
- Proven track record in people management & an ability to manage multiple projects across the supply chain
- Previous experience using up-to-date computer systems with SAP experience distinct advantage.
